What do I need to bring to class?
- Tennis sneakers and athletic attire
- A tennis racquet (see below for size recommendations)
No need to bring tennis balls; we provide them.
What size racquet do I need?
Unfortunately, and most of all during COVID times, we do not supply racquets. You can purchase a racket either at a local sporting goods store such as Dick’s Sporting Goods or on Amazon.
Depending on your child’s age, we recommend the following racquet sizes:
|4- 5 years old||17-19 inch|
|6-9 years old||21-25 inch|
|10-14 years old||26-27 inch|
What happens if weather interferes with a clinic or lesson?
If we are unable to play, a make-up date and time will be provided. Clinics will be rescheduled if 40 minutes or less of the clinic or lesson was completed. However, if more than 40 minutes of a clinic or lesson is completed that session will not be made up.
What is your COVID policy?
As of July 1 2021, masks are optional for all junior and adult clinics.
Masks are not required for individual lessons. We will not come within 6 feet of each other.
ALL tennis equipment is sanitized daily. Hand sanitizer and wipes are available on the court.
No equipment will be shared. Water is not provided; please bring your own hydration.
If a player or family member comes in contact with COVID-19 or contracts the virus, they must alert the Tennis Passport team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with details and quarantine for a minimum of 5 days.
What’s the difference between a Tennis Professional, Head Pro, and Elite Pro?
All of our coaches are current or former collegiate players with the skill to work with you! Tennis Professionals are most likely a current college player.
Our Head Pros have been USPTA or PTR certified with several years of coaching experience. They also have expertise with group lessons and familiarity with a various forms of programming.
Elite Pro has this status given to him by the USPTA or PTR. It demonstrates that he/she can coach and play at the highest level.
Do we need to sign a waiver prior to meeting you on the court?
Yes, an electronic waiver will be sent prior to your first clinic each season.
How long do I have to use my lesson pack?
If you purchased a promotional pack of multiple lessons, you must use those lessons within four months of the date of purchase OR by November 1, 2022; whichever comes first.
Can you tell me more about the Semi-Private Lessons?
Semi-private lessons are tailored for two people who would like to learn and play together. You purchase one lesson for two people! Only one player needs to purchase.

How do I know which level to select?

Beginner (USTA Level Equivalent of 1.0 & 1.5): You are new to tennis. Your goal is to learn how to play the game, keep balls in play, and have fun.
Beginner Intermediate (USTA Level Equivalent of 1.5-2.5): You are fairly new to tennis, but know the basic shots. You’re working to build your consistency and ability to sustain slow paced rallies.
Beginner Advanced (USTA Level Equivalent of 2.0-3.0): You have some tennis experience. You are fairly consistent when hitting slow-paced shots, but you have not become comfortable with all strokes. You need a bit of work on depth, variety, and strategy.
Intermediate (USTA Level Equivalent of 2.5-3.5): You currently play and can sustain medium pace rallies. You are familiar with common tennis strokes and you’d like to take your game up a notch.
Intermediate Advanced (USTA Level Equivalent of 3.5-4.5): You can handle moderate and fast pace rallies. You have mastered stroke, footwork, and basic strategy. You desire high-intensity training that incorporates ongoing point play.
Advanced (USTA Level Equivalent of 4.5+): You can sustain fast pace rallies. You are capable of hitting difficult shots. You know what to do when and you have played.

Our goal is to group accurately based on levels. However, since we rely on self-rating, there may be variance at times. Given the experience of our pros, we will be able to make modifications to ensure the best experience possible.
Cancellations and Refunds
What is the clinic or camp cancellation & refund policy?
You can cancel up to five days prior to a clinic or camp start date. If you do this, you will be refunded in full. If you cancel the week of, there will be no refund.
If you are going to be absent, please notify us firstname.lastname@example.org. Clinics or camp sessions that are missed cannot be made up, nor refunded unless cancelled by the Tennis Passport team.
What is the individual lesson cancellation policy?
Lessons that are cancelled at least 24 hours in advance can be rescheduled at any time with no loss of a lesson.
Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will result in the loss of a lesson.
What is the Special Group cancellation fee?
Reservations for special group sessions are subject to a 50% cancellation fee if cancelled less than two weeks prior to the session.
A full refund will be issued if cancelled more than two weeks in advance.
Do you have a referral program ?
No, not at the moment. But we are working on it
What is your customer loyalty program?
After 1 class purchased = 10% saving on all programming for the entire 2022 season.
After 3 classes purchased = 15% savings on all programming for the entire 2022 season.
